Getting started

Sometimes the biggest hurdle is taking that first step and asking for help.

I want to acknowledge your bravery in doing that!

Often, starting therapy can be the first step towards taking control of your life.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often are the sessions?

Sessions are usually weekly.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on what changes you are hoping to make! Some people achieve their therapy goals in a few weeks, but most people choose to stay for many months, and sometimes years.

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes, although I would always rather see clients in person if possible.

Is there a notice period for ending therapy?

I ask that clients let me know two weeks in advance of ending therapy, so that we can work towards the ending.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, the full fee is payable.

What can I expect in the consultation?

The consultation is for you to tell me about the difficulties that you are experiencing, and the changes that you are hoping to make. It is also for you to ask me any questions that you may have. I will give you a copy of my business contract, and you can either take your time to consider or arrange further sessions. It is important to find a therapist that you feel comfortable with, so I offer a 30 minute consultation free of charge.

What happens if I am late?

I will still have to finish on time, as I may be seeing other clients after you.
